In December 2009 details of the subscriptions for 2010-11 were sent out to all local authorities. They were sent by letter to DCSs and copied to PEPs.

The funding scheme covers the full costs of fees for all three years (paid directly to the training provider) and the bursary for year one students (paid directly to the trainee). Employers will not be expected to meet the costs of fees for specific trainees in addition to the subscription.

Regional networks

The regional networks are responsible for identifying workforce demand and making arrangements for trainee employment or bursaried places for years two and three of the training.

Representatives from each region will attend national forum meetings. The national forum meets quarterly to advise us on workforce planning and provides a forum for discussion. In addition to regional representation, other key stakeholders are represented, including the British Psychological Society, the Association for Educational Psychologists, the Health Professionals Council and training providers.
