Funding to support foster carers

Funding for the Training, Support and Development (TSD) Standards for foster care was available to support implementation of the TSD Standards for foster care during the last financial year 2009/10.

From May 2009 to June 2011 we distributed over £655K to foster care providers, supporting nearly 11,000 foster carers in total.

This funding is now closed. 

Please note that all foster carers who were approved prior to March 2010 are still required under the National Minimum Standards 2011 to complete by 30 April 2011.
