NOS for Learning, Development & Support Services (LDSS)
The review of the NOS LDSS has now been completed and submitted for formal approval.
National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Learning, Development and Support Services (LDSS)
The full review of the Learning, Development and Support Services NOS is now complete and the NOS have been formally approved by the United Kingdom Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES)
In England the revised NOS will provide a base for new qualifications developed for the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), and contribute to the wider use of NOS for workforce planning/management. They will also inform the review and revision of a qualifications structure for IAG workers which CWDC aims to complete by end March 2010. They will not however be incorporated into the current NVQ's.
CWDC would like to thank all colleagues who were involved in the development of the reviewed NOS and specifically the children and young people at the following services:
- Biggleswade Youth Centre
- Connexions, Durham
