Welcome to our newly qualified social workers section

Following the publication of the DCSF's Building Brighter Futures: Next Steps for the Children's Workforce, CWDC has been asked to work with our partners to develop a pilot programme for newly qualified social workers who are employed in children's settings across England.

This programme will provide a structure in which newly qualified social workers (NQSWs) can be supported to strengthen their skills, knowledge and ability to work confidently and productively with children, young people and their families and carers.
