What is this about?
This is about everything being done for a reason – better lives for children and young people and their families. Never losing sight of the Every Child Matters outcomes. These are that every child and young person has the right to be healthy, to stay safe, to enjoy life and achieve, to make a positive contribution and to achieve economic well‐being.
What does a fragmented approach look like?
The workforce does not listen to the children or young people and makes assumptions about what is best for them. The goal becomes unclear and people who should be helped are not helped.
What does an integrated and high quality approach look like?
One thing is at the heart of the whole process – a good outcome for children and young people. The whole system is based around this goal. This goal comes from knowledge and from listening to the input of children, young people and their families
