What is the playwork Level 3 initiative?
Through the Level 3 Playwork Initiative we are providing funding for 4,000 playworkers and early years workers to achieve Level 3 qualifications.
We have agreed funding provision for this initiative, working in partnership with the Learning Skills Council (LSC) and SkillsActive to fund the following Level 3 qualifications in playwork:
Level 3 NVQ in Playwork
A widely recognised, practical qualification that allows playworkers to demonstrate their skills and knowledge while they work.
Level 3 Award in Playwork for Early Years and Childcare Workers
This short course qualifies early years and childcare workers to work in a playwork setting too.
