Practitioner-Led Research (PLR)

Our PLR programme provides funding to practitioners within CWDC's footprint to carry out their own small-scale research projects.

The projects help us to learn more about the experiences of those who work within the children's workforce and about the experiences of children and young people who use the services.

PLR provides practitioners with the opportunity to carry out research into an area that they may have always wanted to look further into and is a chance to work with other professionals from a range of settings. Each practitioner designs their own research and sets their own question to explore and no previous experience of research is required!

The reports produced are shared throughout CWDC and the wider workforce and used to improve ways of working, recognise success and provide examples of good practice.
