Foster Care Training

Induction
Upon starting a new role or job, you will need to undertake an induction which set outs what you should know, understand and be able to do within 6-18 months of starting. The amount of time you have will depend on the type of job or role you are doing. Foster carers have 12 months from approval to undertake their induction and complete the Training, Support and Development standards; see below for more information.
