Our vision is to develop projects which will focus on front-line children's social workers and their employers so that they can support children and young people who are facing some of the most difficult circumstances.
Our social work programme is a comprehensive three-year programme of activity that will drive and support improvements in the way social workers are recruited, trained and supported to work with children and families in England. It will encourage the brightest and best people to join, and make a career in, the profession.
At the same time, it will improve people's understanding of the important and complex work that social workers do to keep children and young people safe and enable them to get the most from life.
