Families Going Forward
Training for practitioners engaged in outreach from Sure Start children's centres.
What is the training?
- The training has been developed specifically for outreach and meets the development needs of Sure Start children's centre outreach practitioners.
- The training is based on unit 300 of the Work with Parents qualification. Practitioners could undertake further units (not funded) and gain a full Level 3 qualification.
- The training is available to all practitioners engaged in Sure Start children's centre outreach including volunteers.

The training will be available until March 2011.
Who is suitable for this course?
In line with the eligibility criteria, this course is particularly relevant for practitioners who:
- Don't have a Level 3 or above qualification in Work with Parents

Have not covered the course content in other training courses (though if they have not gained a relevant Level 3 qualification they may still want to gain this Level 3 unit of a qualification).
